A building name is a starting point. The door matters, too.
Along Mall Road and Middlesex Turnpike, a visit may involve a shop, an office or a vehicle parked on a larger property. Give the street address and the particular entrance or parking area. If there is a suite number or access process, mention it before a visit is arranged.
For a business entrance, distinguish a key that will not turn from a door that will not latch. A manager may need to coordinate access or approve changes to the hardware. We do not assume that every entrance on a commercial property uses the same lock system.

At home, decide what you want to change.
After moving in, you may want old keys to stop working while keeping hardware that is in good condition. That is a rekeying question. If a lock is worn or the door catches, explain the operating problem as well.
Before buying a new keypad, gather photos of the door faces and edge. Physical fit and any property rules matter. A compatible replacement and a new installation can involve different preparation and costs.
For a car parked away from home
Tell us the make, model and year, whether any key remains, and where the vehicle can be reached. A car lockout and making a new key are different tasks. Compatibility, current availability and the estimate need to be confirmed for the actual vehicle and location.
Before you call
- Street address, entrance or suite
- The person authorized to approve work
- Photos or vehicle details relevant to the job
A useful question
Can I use a mall or office name as the location?
Include the exact address and the entrance or parking area too. Large properties can have several access points, and a useful location description helps clarify whether and how a visit can be arranged.
